As you may recall, my first fundraising event (www.roshnidesigns.com/manish) was a successful undertaking thanks to you. The beneficiaries were hundreds of orphaned girls at the Arya Orphanage campus in India. With your help we were able to raise over $3000 dollars!
This year, I would like to bring the attention to a different cause: abused children. Statistics are horrifying, as innocent and impressionable children are physically, sexually, and mentally abused at a rate that is incomprehensible. (http://pediatrics.about.com/od/childabuse/a/05_abuse_stats.htm)
For The Child (http://www.forthechild.org) located in Long Beach, CA is a non-profit organization, which assists children in overcomeing devastating circumstances. I would like to put For the Child in the spotlight and applaud them for their years of service in assisting children during their most difficult and horrific times.
During the first initiative, in order to raise money for Arya Orphanage, I went skydiving. This year, I am raising awareness of physically, sexually, and mentally abused children by running the Long Beach City Half Marathon on October 9th.
I hope you feel the same passion as I do to help abused children and make a tax-deductible donation to For The Child, so they can continue their priceless mission in helping innocent children overcome the unthinkable.

How To Donate....
It's Simple!Simply go to http://www.forthechild.org/Donations.htm to place your donation. Then, For The Child will automatically send you a receipt via email for your records.
**Important**: Shoot me an email (mksaini.online@gmail.com) with the date and amount of your donation so it can be recorded correctly. Also, please remember that the October 9th Long Beach Marathon is fast approaching, so please do not delay in making a donation.
One last note: No matter how small or insignificant you think your donation may be, it's not! Every "little" amount goes a long way to helping a child. I thank you in advance for making a difference in a child's life.

The Final Update: What Can We Do?…You answered (WITH FORCE!): raise $3000+ for For The Child, bring awareness to child abuse by having this initiative written in 3 newspapers, conquer 13.1 miles, and (most importantly!) make a difference in an abused child’s life.
